Drowning in the Rapids

Bonjourno! I feel like I haven’t wrote this for ages, maybe I haven’t? Today is a cloudy evening up in Saas Fee, but alas we made it out the bubble for the day! Hooray! We headed to Brigerbad, which is the water park at the bottom of the mountain. Alarms set for 8.30 (bleurghhhh!) and on to the bus we got. I must admit the bus journey there, nearly took all my energy. Myself and Steph had some FANTASTIC conversations, including old age (also read my waffle blog.. for the full story!) and the colour beige that attracts the old people, with there blue tint hair. Epic. We hit visp, which was at the bottom of the mountain, and were fasinated by the mcdonalds sign. I described the mcdonalds sign as “reality is mcdonalds”… You feel safe, like in England when you see the big yellow M sticking up in your face!
Finally got to brigerbad, got changed and thought we were in a time warp.. everywhere that surrounded us was just FULL of over 70 year olds.. all doing aqua aerobics in a green like pool…! We laughed it off, and explored, but majority of the pools were still closed, so in we stepped to the heated pool of old people, smelling of wee and the odd coloured water! Fun anyway, this acitivity ended and the other pools looked more appealing. Where we also came upon a rock, that we decided would be great fun to jump off.. and myself even kept going back for me (I would never be caught dead doing that in the sea!) and even turning 360’s and what not, awesome times! The big slide opened so we all ran up the stairs, got halfway before realising we were nakered up the millions of them! Anyway went down this quite a few times, hilarious and super fast when lying on your back, I even lifted off the slide when I went down a big hill bit! The river rapids also opened, and we had far to much fun swimming round, drowning, and pulling each other along.
Lunchtime was calling our names, so a pile of chips did the trick.. before acting like children again we ran to jump some more, and hit the rapids with some more powerful current.. unfortunately I was happily surfing through the current, when one guy wiped me out, and under I went. But the force was so strong from the water, I couldn’t get out.. genuinely thought I would die (yes all of those 2 minutes or whatever it was!) ha. Then chilled in the heated pool, before myself and steph came home earlier, to catch the bus… and the moment of lying on our beds was HEAVENLY!
Now im chilling out, doing absolutely nothing, making the most of this before I continue my full day shifts for the rest of the week! This week is a VERY VERY busy week, im on maxi’s so with the older children.. and I did bike riding on Monday, thought I would die, a fat lady on a bike.. but I was awesome (a few tiny bursts of short for breath.. but noone knew!) and followed by the waterworks, where we made the water flow down the waterfall.. good times!
Tomorrow ill be doing the fun adventure land again with the zip wires which is also awesome, and then it will be a week from tomorrow that we leave. I am genuinely SO excited. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
This week again I was extremely boring, my book took my eye more than the nightlife here! (I am gay like this I know!) But hopefully I will be out on Friday night as its rhona’s birthday and we’re dressing up as the spice girls which is going to be amazing. Of course you can guess the line up..

So this is going to be an interesting night…… watch this space!
That’s currently all from me from over the water and up the mountains, my bed has been my best friend for the past few weeks.. I love you bed! A real rock. We bonded a lot. And also our bedroom is an absolute pig sty but myself and stephs opinion on tidying up…. “mmmeeehhhhh. Well be packing in a few days so what the hell”! ha. Honestly its probably a ‘shit tip’ who cares  we have to be crazy seasonnaires for something this week!
